divorces

In the State of California, a divorce is obtained by filing a court case. No one has to prove that someone did something wrong to cause the divorce (No-Fault Divorce). You can get divorced even if the other person doesn't want it.

To file for divorce in California, you or your spouse must have lived in California for the past 6 months and in your current California county for the past 3 months.
